I don't really want to say this but my observation is that about 80% of American women allow themselves allow themselves to just deteriorate. They look so wonderful when they are in their 20s or 30s, then something happens and they just go straight down. I really feel for the men married to them because looks and staying in shape do play a part in a marriage. The politically correct thing is to say it doesnt matter. That is if one wants to lie to themselves.

Tom should be commended for staying in such good shape. If he can do it, why can't 80% of American women? We are now taught to say that being fat and overweight is OK, and we shouldn't say negative things. We are in other words as a society justifying being overweight and any comment about that is treated with revulsion. Instead of confronting that fact that Americans are the most overweight people in the world, we are taught to say that's fine.
