Dolly Parton Unisex

 Dolly Parton is married to a man named Carl Dean. They hare been married for a long time. probably over 50 years. He is a very quiet person and does not want to be in the limelight. Dolly goes back home in between shows and has a peaceful life with him. That is why the marriage has lasted so long.

I am adding this part more than three months after I wrote the first paragraph, At the Country Awards last week, Dolly Parton said she had been married for 53 years. She was very young (16, I think) when they got married. I believe that they never had children.

Dolly Parton was well beyond “poor” when she was growing up, especially by U.S. standards. She was born the 4th of 12 children in a one-room cabin in Pittman Center, Tennessee, in 1946. Her father, Lee, was an illiterate sharecropper (whom Dolly has nonetheless described as one of the smartest people she knew), who paid the doctor who helped to deliver Dolly with a sack of cornmeal, because that was all he had.

Most of Dolly's childhood was spent in a two room cabin in Locust Ridge, Tennessee, with the other 13 members of her family. They had no electricity and no running water. Dolly has said that she and her siblings would catch fireflies as children and keep them in jars in the cabin for the light they provided.

Isn't that the great mystery? LOL. OK, I will be blunt but honest. She wasn't asked because of how she looks now. She says she is age appropriate but does that mean Tom is not?? It's sad really.
